Establishing background


On December 31st, 2020, EU-China Comprehensive Agreement on Investment was completed. Hence, a new upsurge in bilateral investment between China and Europe appears. 

EU-China Science and Technology Committee is established to promote the cooperation and investment focused in six areas such as: energy, innovative materials, environment, ICT, Industry 4.0, healthcare between Europe and China.

The Trade Volume between China and Europe reached 570 billion euros in 2020, increased 5.3% over year 2019, through the platform of EU-China Science and Technology Committee from 2021 the investment of high tech between Europe and China will be promoted.

China’s Stock Market capitalizations is now more than 9.8 trillion euros, the largest in the world. EU-China Science and Technology Committee will support the European High-Tech Enterprises to enter the China’s stock market, specially in the stock market of Hong Kong. 


About the Committee

The EU-China Science and Technology Committee (ECSTC) is established to coordinate with the signing of EU-China Comprehensive Agreement on Investment. It is a network and platform to promote the public and the private funds from China to Europe and also from Europe to China in order to support the China-Europe cooperation in Science and Technology projects among Governments, the Private Sectors, Civil Society , International Organizations , Academia and Technology Community and other relevant Stakeholders in the new era.
